From 21 to 25 May, the International Equestrian Competition (CSIO) returns to the suggestive Villa Borghese in Rome, between art, design and sustainable zero-impact architecture.
The 92nd CSIO of Rome - Piazza di Siena will once again showcase the intense competitive spirit of the best pairs of the world show jumping circuit formed by female riders and their horses, and will conclude on Sunday 25 May with the eagerly awaited and rich Rolex Gran Premio Roma.

The 26th edition of the Race for the Cure, the world's largest marathon for the fight against breast cancer, is scheduled for May 8-11 at the Circus Maximus.
Race for the Cure, a symbolic event of Komen Italia, takes place under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, at the Circus Maximus, and, in addition to the traditional 2 km walk and 5 km run open to all, includes a 10 km route reserved for competitive athletes.
On May 17, the Civic Museums will be hosting the Night of the Museums, the historic Capitoline event – now in its 15th edition – that combines art and entertainment in one big party for citizens, tourists, and tourists, at the same time as the Nuit Européenne Des Musées.
The Civic Museums, open to the public with special evening hours from 8 pm to 2 am (last admission at 1 am) with an entrance ticket costing 1 euro, will become the stage for a vast program of events, concerts and live shows, while inside you can admire the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions in progress.
Around twenty locations are involved, including the Capitoline Museums, the Ara Pacis Museum, the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi, the Napoleonic Museum, Trajan's Markets, the Museum of the Imperial Forums, the Museums of Villa Torlonia, the Carlo Bilotti Museum and the Pietro Canonica Museum at Villa Borghese, the Gallery of Modern Art on Via Crispi, the Centrale Montemartini, the Civic Museum of Zoology, the Giovanni Barracco Museum of Ancient Sculpture, the Casal de' Pazzi Museum, the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, the Museum of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi's Memory, the Celio Archaeological Park and Villa of Maxentius.
The 82nd edition of the International Competition for New Rose Varieties will start on Saturday 18 May 2024 at 10 am. Rome Prize. The Prize, established in 1933, is defined as one of the most prestigious national and international events in the presentation of new "unpublished" varieties of roses, intended for trade and horticultural research.
The Rose Garden will be open to the public, in Via di Valle Murcia to attend the Award Ceremony, from 6 pm to 8 pm on 19 May. It will thus be possible to admire the winning roses. The competition area will be open to the public from 20 May, starting at 3 pm. The collection sector from 8:30 am.
From May 21st to June 16th, the two sectors (Collection and Competition) will observe the same hours: from Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 to 19:30.

From March 7, the rooms of Palazzo Barberini will host one of the largest retrospectives ever dedicated to Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio, with an exceptional core of works from prestigious international collections. All month - Frida Kahlo "Through the lens of Nickolas Muray": is an exhibition that offers an intimate and private look at Frida Kahlo, Mexico's most prolific, well-known and beloved artist, through the photographic lens of her friend and lover, Nickolas Muray. The exhibition will be open at the Museo Storico della Fanteria, from March 15 to July 20, 2025.

All month - “Picasso. The Stranger”: the unmissable exhibition at Palazzo Cipolla in Rome. All month long “Warhol and Banksy”, a unique exhibition that compares two absolute protagonists of contemporary art. On the one hand, Andy Warhol, famous for having transformed pop culture into a global artistic phenomenon, and on the other Banksy, master of anonymity and genius of street art, capable of transforming each of his works into a media event. With over 100 works from private collections and world-famous galleries, the exhibition invites the public to observe similarities and contrasts between the two artists. Among the masterpieces on display, Warhol’s Marilyn dialogues with Banksy’s Kate Moss, while Queen Elizabeth portrayed by Warhol contrasts with Banksy’s Monkey Queen.
